howto: disassemble HTC Hermes for non-Japanese users.
Overclocking HTC Hermes/TyTN with Pocket Hack Master 4.0.8.023.
---
I found many people around the world visiting here to find out how to disassemble HTC hermes (TyTN, HERM200). So I decided to show it to you in English here now.
Caution: When you dismantle your device, not only the alignment problem but its warranty will be gone!
Enjoy it AT YOUR OWN RISK.
My past attempt made it much better, but not perfect unfortunately.
So I try to fix the alignment problem again.
Circles on photos indicate the location of screws and where you should pay attention.
You need two kinds of screwdrivers, a small Phillips and Torx to dismantle it.
Do not forget to empty the microSD card slot.

Open the battery cover and loosen all four Torx screws. One of these is hidden under the 'VOID' sticker.
Now it's ready to open the chassis. Some picks are hidden to settle it but you can do it easily.

To get ready to take out the mainboard:
1. Loosen the Torx screw. (upper circle)
2. Separate the connector. (left circle)
3. Remove the battery cover latch. (lower circle)

Slide the keyboard and raise the mainboard while swinging it. ;-)
Caution: a rubber part can easily fall off. (lower circle)

This is the front view.

To take it out:
1. Peel the insulating tape.
2. Separate the connector.

Now you can take it out easily.
Loosen four Phillips.

You are watching the back of the screen.
Loosen four Phillips.

This is a side view of the screen.
Here shows a softer part of the chassis.

Remember the location of picks.
Each longer side has three and shorter has one picks, So you have to deal with eight picks here.

Only this pick is placed deeper. Take care!

Finally you overcame the most difficult task.
Loosen four Phillips. Do not leave upper one.
Caution: Lower two are very small!

Separate the connector.

Because of soft chassis, it' so easy to take off the touch screen.
You can see I already removed a side strip of the gasketing foams.
Tip: Now is the time to put your screen protector. Choosing a little bit larger one, you can hide its edges. Remember if you want to remove it, you have to dismantle again... :-P

Remove all sides of the gasketing foams.
Do not reconstruct Hermes now or you will face a more terrible alignment problem than ever!!

Place four peaces of 0.5 mm thick rubber with tape that is sticky on both sides.

Now I fixed the alingment problem.
I have to say here again that you will not always succeed in fixing it by the method.
AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
Other references written in Japanese, but photos are still consulting.
そういえば、Dopod 台湾 から返事が来なかったなぁ。。

Cuestion about mic of Hermes
Hi, sorry for inconveniences and my language I am from Spain.
If you want answer you in a public site, please tell me where I can question you?
I have a problem with the microphone of SPV 3100 (tytn, hermes) pda, It doesn´t work sometimes, I open the PDA, but I haven´t seen anything wrong (bad solder or similar), Now I know how to do for working the mic, I press between the button to open the door of battery and "usb" port. In this moment the mic works, I thougth the problem could be the conection but I don´t know the pin out of this port conection.
Do you know the pin out?
The mic is stick or how is the way to connect to the main board? (I bougth a spare mic to change but I try to slowly move the mic and I couldn´t)
Please, could you tell me any advise to me?
SORRY FOR INCONVENIENCES. AND A LOT OF THANKS.
I could sent you photos, Please help me.
